Released between 1996-1999, "Gundam: The 08th MS Team" is a classic Gundam 0079 / One Year War side story OVA (Original Animated Video) which recounts the brutal Earth-Space conflict from the view of common soldiers. Directed by Takeyuki Kanda and Umanosuke Iida, "08" features heart warming storyline with sparking mecha designs by the trio of Kunio Okawara (0079), Hajime Katoki (0083, Endless Waltz) and Kimitoshi Yamane (G Gundam), and it remains one of the best Gundam OVA to date.
