Alvin and the Chipmunks

Alvin and the Chipmunks was a 1980s revival of characters from The Alvin Show (1961-62). The Chipmunks were created by singer/songwriter Ross Bagdasarian, and started out as musical characters ("The Christmas Song") before moving into cartoons. Alvin and the Chipmunks ran from 1983 to 1990, and the characters also appeared in a feature length movie.
