Histories of Cinema H Titles Short Films Filmmaking

In 1978 director Jean-Luc Godard gave fourteen conferences on the history of cinema at the "Conservatoire d'Art Cinématographique" in Montreal, and gathered them together in the book "Introduction à une véritable histoire du cinéma". In this work, he proposes a confrontation between his own films and those which are already part of History, by means of a montage of texts and photograms, enlarging their frame so that it resembles video - probably the origin of "Histoire(s) du Cinéma".
