Long-running London England band centered around the songwriting partnership of Chris Difford (guitar, vocals) and Glenn Tilbrook (guitar, keyboards, vocals). Other original members from 1977: Gilson Lavis (drums), Jools Holland keyboards), Harry Kakoulli (bass guitar). Other notable members over the years include Paul Carrack (Ace, Mike + the Mechanics), Andy Metcalf (Robyn Hitchcock & The Egyptians, The Soft Boys), and Christopher Holland (Jools' brother). Jools Holland has gone on to be a successful TV presenter and big band leader.
