Trapt

Trapt is an alternative metal band formed in 1997 by students at University of California-Santa Barbara. Made up of childhood friends and guitarists Chris Brown (who also does lead vocals) and Peter Charell, as well as later members lead guitarist Simon Ormandy and drummer Aaron Montgomery. After a few years of opening for major rock acts, Trapt was signed to Warner Brothers Records in 2002. By late 2003, their single "Headstrong" became a hit.
