Distler, Hugo D Composers Composition

German composer Hugo Distler (1908-1942) was a deeply religious and spiritual man at a time when the Nazis suspected all such people as dangers to the Reich. Distler's suicide was a reaction against Nazism and the oppression he felt entrapped him.
