Puccini, Giacomo Antonio Domenico Michele Secondo Maria
Italian Romantic composer Giacomo Puccini (1858-1924) probably ranks as one of the greatest opera composers of all time alongside Mozart, Verdi and Wagner. It would be difficult to say which opera is his "best," since so many of them have such strong followings. Certainly La Bohème, Madame Butterfly, Tosca, and Turandot all have champions.
