One of two basic types of lung cancer. Non-small cell tumors grow slowly but are less likely to respond to chemotherapy. There are different subtypes of non-small cell lung cancer: adenocarcioma, squamous cell carcinoma, adenosquamous carcinoma, larger cell carcinoma, and undifferentiated carcinoma.
