Cancer Thyroid Endocrine Disorders
Cancer
Thyroid cancer is made up of thyroid cells whose DNA has changed so that they do not die when they should - they continue to grow and form one or more tumours. It often presents as a single "nodule" (small tumour) in the thyroid. Thyroid cancer can also spread to areas outside the thryoid. There are four types of thyroid cancer. Treatment of most types of thyroid cancer has a very high success rate.
