Eczema is a catchall term for a variety of itchy skin inflammations/rashes which may be characterized by redness, oozing, crusting, blistering, scaling, and/or hardening. Eczema types/names are typically descriptive of where on the body the lesions are, a physical characteristic of or the origin of. The most common is Atopic Dermatitis with some others being Contact Dermatitis, Hand Eczema, Nummular Dermatitis, Perioral Dermatitis, Pompholyx, Seborrheic Dermatitis.
