Topic Maps
Topic Maps are a Knowledge Representation format, based on a Topic-Association-Role model. Purpose of Topic Maps is to provide a tool for representation and semantic navigation between abstract topics, independently of resources about those topics. ISO/IEC 13250 defines standard for definition, processing and exchange of Topic Maps.
