Goodies, The Comedy Programmes Television Arts and Entertainment United Kingdom
Long-running comedy presenting a trio of odd-job men undertaking various fantastical assignments, usually with the assistance of giant props, camera tricks, and an abundance of violent slapstick. Added to this were surreal physical sketches, a mock television advert or two and an element of gentle political and social satire. Devised by and starring Bill Oddie, Graeme Garden and Tim Brooke-Taylor. First broadcast on BBC 2 in November 1970. Broadcast on ITV between January and February 1982.
