Hopkins Counties Kentucky United StatesHopkinsHopkins County was formed in 1807. It is located in the Green River region of the state. The elevation in the county ranges from 345 to 729 feet above sea level. In 2000 the county population was 46,519 in a land area of 550.56 square miles. The county seat is Madisonville.
