Lincoln Counties Oklahoma United StatesLincolnOrganized October 1, 1891, and named by popular vote for President Abraham Lincoln, the county was originally a part of the Creek Nation. As a result of the Treaty of 1866, however, the area was ceded by the Creeks and settled by the Sac and Fox, Iowa, Kickapoo and Pottawatomie Indians.
