Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is the major intersection of New Hampshire Ave. NW, Connecticut Ave. NW, and Massachusetts Ave. NW at O St. NW. The neighborhood of the same name which extends out from the Circle boasts Washington's greatest concentration of cafes, bookstores, and art galleries. Home to a large number of restaurants, clubs, museums, shops, and foreign embassies, Dupont Circle is also considered to be the cultural center for the lesbian, gay, and bisexual population of the city. The area is bounded by Adams Morgan and Kalorama to the north, Shaw and Cardozo to the east, Foggy Bottom and downtown to the south, and Rock Creek Park on the west.
