Sharks

Sharks comprise about 1% of all living fish, with approximately 350 species occurring globally. Most sharks feed on other fish or marine mammals, while some are plankton feeders. Threats to sharks include incidental capture during net fishing and hunting due to an increase in trade for shark products and persecution.
