Malayalam
This is the language of Kerala (the south-western state of India) and Lakshadweep islands. Also spoken in neighboring states of Kerala, Bahrain, Fiji, Israel, Malaysia, Qatar, Singapore, UAE, United Kingdom. Malayalam is spoken by about 35+ million people. It is 29th most popular language in the world(Ethnologue 13th Ed.) and one among the 44 primary scripts in Unicode 3.2 standard. The language's grammar is a form of simplified Tamil(a dravidian language) and the vocabulary is from Sanskrit and Tamil. Also, a small collection of words came from English, Urudu, Portuguese etc. Even though, Malayalam script resembles that of Tamil, it covers both Sanskrit and Tamil alphabets; making a total of 51 basic and 900+ conjunct letters.
