Hawaiian Pidgin English Based Pidgins and Creoles Natural Languages Linguistics


Pidgin is an creole language predominantly influenced by Hawaiian grammar, and vocabulary from the languages of various cultures that migrated to Hawai`i including English, Japanese and of course, `Olelo Hawai`i. In linguistic research, Pidgin is generally referred to as Hawai`i Creole English or HCE.
