International Temples Project

The International Temples Project is the unfolding of a profound and compassionate vision to build temples dedicated to world peace in every major city of the world. In some cases, Temples are built from scratch according to sacred architecture. In other cases, Temples are created by retrofitting existing buildings.

• - Founded by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso in Glen Spey, New York to serve as a National Retreat Center and the home of the first Kadampa Buddhist Temple in North America to be built according to traditional design. See pictures here.
  
• - The Kadampa Buddhist Temple in Albuquerque offers classes, workshops, and special events in Albuquerque and the surrounding areas.
  
• - The unfolding of the compassionate vision to fulfill the goal of world peace by building a Kadampa Buddhist Temple in every major city of the world. Inspired by Venerable Geshe Kelsang, this project is a contribution to world peace.
  
• - The home of the first Kadampa Buddhist Temple in the West. A peaceful and inspiring environment where people can learn about the Buddhist way of life and practice meditation.
