Methodist Church, Hong Kong Methodist Denominations ChristianityMethodist Church, Hong Kong The Methodist Church, Hong Kong, is a local denomination of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region in China. The church had its beginning in 1851 when a lay preacher of the British Methodist Church arrived. In the 1950s, Wei Li Kung Hui, a church of American background, arrived in Hong Kong.
