Student Christian Movement
The Student Christian Movement originated in the nineteenth century as an ecumenical Christian movement inspired by the teachings of the Social Gospel to apply Christian principles to social issues and struggle for social justice and progressive change in the world. The World Student Christian Federation (originally the World's Student Christian Federation) was founded in 1895 in order to coordinate SCM activities internationally.
