Old Testament
The Tanakh or Old Testament, also known as the Hebrew Bible, includes the Torah or Pentateuch, the Nevi'im or Prophets, the Ketuvim or Writings, and certain books of Apocrypha. The characters from these texts are revered by Judaism, Christianity, and Islam, and to a lesser extent by other religions.
