NEC
NEC was formed in 1910 by a merger of two clubs, Nijmegen and Eendracht. The initials stand for Nijmegen Eendracht Combinatie (combination). NEC made it to the Dutch Cup finals in 1973, 1983, 1994 and 2000, and qualified for the UEFA Cup in 1983. In 2002-03 it finished fifth in the Eredivisie, its best league finish ever.
