BORN: July 15, 1952, Leesburg, FloridaJohnny Thunders (born John Anthony Genzale, Jr.) was the guitarist for the New York Dolls, the New York City proto-punk glam band of the early '70s. He later worked with a backing band The Heartbreakers and as a solo artist.
