United Kingdom Boys' Brigade Organizations Christianity
Britain's largest Christian uniformed organization. Founded in 1883 by William Smith who produced a programme, combining games with discipline, gymnastics and sport as well as hymns and prayers, believing it would would appeal to the boys. "The advancement of Christ's Kingdom among Boys and the promotion of habits of reverence, discipline, self-respect, and all that tends towards a true Christian manliness."
