Bolton Abbey is a small village located within the Bolton Abbey estate, an area of woodland and pasture owned by the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire that is popular with visitors. It is also the terminus of the Embsay and Bolton Abbey Steam Railway, a privately owned heritage line.
