Barnsley South Yorkshire England United Kingdom
The town of Barnsley is situated to the North of Sheffield, on the River Dearne. Its population is approximately 80,000. Barnsley was traditionally an industrial town, and had an extensive coal mining industry until the mid 1980s when the pits closed following the miners strikes.
