Assembly District Committees Democratic Parties Politics

The California Election Code and California Democratic Party rules designate these local committees in each of the State's 80 Assembly Districts as the official organizational unit for State Party activity. Delegates to the State Convention and State Executive Board are elected biennially at this level and thereafter perform local Party-building and electoral support. Membership is often proscribed, however is necessarily available to anyone who has demonstrated an ongoing commitment to Party activity with campaigns, clubs, voter registration, or precinct involvement.
