Steele, Bob Local Personalities Society and Culture Hartford
Popular morning announcer (also sports announcer) on WTIC radio beginning in 1936 until his retirement circa 1990, after which he continued on the air monthly until his death in 2002. His son Robert served in the U.S. Congress.
