Thames River Water Resources Science and Environment New London


The Thames River, in southeastern Connecticut, is primarily a tidal estuary formed by confluence of the Shetucket and Yantic rivers. It is approximately 15 miles (25 km) long, and flows south into Long Island Sound, where it forms New London's harbor.
