It was incorporated from Middletown in 1767 and named changed in 1915.Area, 36.8 sq. miles. Population, est., 11,052. Voting districts, 1. Principal industries, manufacture of bells, paper boxes, witch hazel, tools and dies, forestry.East Hampton includes the villages of Cobalt and Middle Haddam.
