Principal industries, textile specialties, manufacture of ball bearing spindles, steel balls, springs, steel hatches, fans, heating tapes, sakrete products, flow and level switches, lighting fixtures, poultry equipment, leather products, wooden boxes and excelsior, compressor blades and vanes, metal stampings, rubber and plastic parts.It is considered to be a part of the Greater Hartford Metro Area.
