South West Neighborhoods Hartford Localities
The South West area began to develop near the end of the 19th century along newly established trolley lines. Housing booms followed each World War and resulted in a fully developed neighborhood. Today, South West is a stable, low density residential area. It is inhabited by middle income households who own their own homes.
