West End Neighborhoods Hartford Localities

Much of the West End neighborhood was built around the turn of the century and reflects the styles of that period. Five sections of the West End are listed on the National Register of Historic Districts - about 70% of the entire neighborhood. These range from estate-like homes in the northern section, large single family Victorians in the middle and southern sections, and older apartment buildings in the east (now known as Clemens Place). The West End is also home to the University of Connecticut School of Law and the Hartford Seminary.
