Colt, Samuel Industrialists or Inventors Famous Nutmeggers Society and Culture


Mechanical engineer and a pioneer in firearms, he patented the first practical revolving firearm with rotating cylinder in the U.S. on February 25, 1837. Born July 19, 1814 in Hartford, Connecticut. Died January 10, 1862 in Hartford.
