Mengele, Josef People Holocaust Twentieth Century
b. March 16, 1911; d. February 7, 1979. Chief medical officer of the Auschwitz concentration from May 24, 1943 on; infamous for his experiments on prisoners. Escaped to South America after the war and died in Brazil.
