Council of Conservative Citizens Organizations White Supremacy and Separatism

Founded in the mid-1980s, the Council of Conservative Citizens (CCC) claims to represent US conservative views on issues such as civil liberties, government intrusion, immigration, gun control, and cultural issues. In truth, however, it is a descendent of the Citizens Councils of America, an organization formed in the 1950s dedicated to preserving compulsory segregation. While the organization denies racist intent or membership, its publications tend to stress "white rights" and the superiority of white European civilization; many of its activities have included many self-described white supremacists and anti-Semites.
