Strang, James Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Strangite Latter Day Saints Denominations


James Strang was born in New York State in 1813 and died in 1856 after being mortally wounded in an attack. James Strang is known as a rival to Bingham Young as a successor to Joseph Smith. The Mormon followers of the time chose sides as either "Brighamites" of "Strangites."
