Drogheda United FAI League of Ireland Ireland UEFA
Formed in 1962 as Drogheda FC, the team changed its name to Drogheda United following a merger in 1975. It has twice finished as runner-up in the FAI Cup, in 1971 and 1976. Its best league finish was in 1983, when it finished second in the premier division and represented Ireland in the UEFA Cup.
