Rankin and Bass produced the animated TV movie, The Return of the King as the third part of the Lord of the Ring series. It supposedly covered that final part of the trilogy started by Ralph Bakshi's attempt at Lord of the Rings. The story is retold as a flashback, and uses the voices of Orson Bean, John Huston, and Roddy McDowall.
