Lau, Evelyn

Vancouver born author and poet. Lau is best known for her work, Runaway: Diary of a Street Kid, which chronicles her life as a teenage prostitute and drug abuser. The book eventually became a made-for-TV movie titled 'The Diary of Evelyn Lau'. Her other works include Fresh Girls and Other Stories, In the House of the Slaves, and Other Women.
