Sites about the Jersey-centered "Askewniverse" created in director/screenwriter Kevin Smith's first five films: "Clerks," "Mallrats," "Chasing Amy," "Dogma" and "Jay and Silent Bob Fight Back." Comic books and the briefly aired TV show "Clerks: The Animated Series" also contribute to the mythology. The series is perhaps most well known for Jay and Silent Bob, the drug-dealing slackers (played by Jason Mewes and the director, respectively) who have relatively minor roles in the first three films but are lead characters in "Dogma" and "Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back."
