Bach, Carl Philipp Emanuel
Bridging the Baroque and Classical periods, Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach (1714-1788), second son of J. S. Bach and godson of Georg Philipp Telemann, was accomplished on the keyboard and wrote two volumes of sonatas and twenty symphonies.
