Nelhybel, Vaclav N Composers Composition


Czech-born composer and conductor Vaclav Nelhybel (1910-1996) became an American citizen and served as music director of Radio Free Europe during much of the 1950s. He published more than 400 works, including operas, orchestral pieces, and works for band, chorus, and smaller ensembles.
