Dulcimer
A trapezoidal instrument of the zither family. Strings, which are stretched over a soundboard, may be hit by hammers (Hammered dulcimer) or plucked (Mountain or Appalachian dulcimer). The name dulcimer is derived from latin and translated means "sweet sounds".
