Boswell Sisters, The B Jazz Singers VocalVet (1911-1988), Connie (1907-1976) and Martha (1905-1958) Boswell are considered one of the best all-around jazz vocal groups of all time. They first began performing in vaudeville houses in New Orleans and began recording in 1930. In the next six years, before Vet and Martha retired, they gained international fame via radio, recordings, movies, and theater appearances.
