Bogdanovich started out as an actor performing in television and summer stock. In the 1960's he began publishing essays and articles for magazines. His directorial break came with the classic film, The Last Picture Show. He went on to direct other critically acclaimed films; Paper Moon, Daisy Miller, and Mask.
