Born in Denver, Colorado, USA, on 10th June, 1953, Christner won the San Francisco International Stand Up Comedy Competition in 1977, and got his first big break in George Lucas' 1979 movie "More American Grafitti". He moved to Los Angeles in 1980, and has subsequently appeared in such films as "Masque of the Red Death" (1989) and "Suburbia" (1984), as well as writing and producing comedy for Premiere Radio networks and various stand-up comics.
