As host of the popular late-night talk show from 1962 to 1992, Johnny Carson performed sketch comedy and interviewed celebrities. The show also featured, during this 30 year time frame, Ed McMahon and bandleaders Skitch Henderson and Doc Severinsen. Before Carson started his monologue, at the beginning of every show, he was introduced nightly by McMahon with "Heeere's Johnny!" 'The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson' was also unoffically known as 'The Johnny Carson Show' and most recently 'The Best of Carson.'
