A recently merged mega corporation, Sony BMG is comprised largely of the recorded music labels of Sony Music and BMG (the former Bertelsmann's Company), more than twenty. Music publishing, and manufacturing are not included. In Japan, Bertelsmann's recorded music division will be included in the joint venture but Sony's will be kept separate. Sony BMG's corporate offices are located in New York, USA.
